Ngwenya Says Is Fine and In Good Health

The former Democratic Progressive Party Candidate, Dr. Reuben Ngwenya who lost to Malawi Congress Party Candidate Ulemu Msungama, is said to be in good health. Social media on Thursday, was flooded with news that indicated that Dr. Ngwenya was admitted at Kamuzu Central Hospital with elevated blood pressure.

Reports on social media alleged that Dr. Ngwenya’s blood pressure rose following the expected defeat to Msungama. Later in a telephone interview, Ngwenya said he was in good health and busy helping people in the Constituency. “I have just heard these rumors that was admitted at KCH but let me assure you that am just very well, and I have been very busy assisting people in the constituency,” said Ngwenya.

On reports that Ngwenya has uprooted the maize mill and closed his free medical care in the area, he also said it’s not true. “You can go now to the maize mill and to the hospital you will still be assisted.” said Ngwenya. Ngwenya said he has plans to transform lives of poor people and all the middle class.

Malawi Electoral Commission on 17 October conducted by elections in three constituencies and three wards which saw the opposition party, MCP winning three parliamentary seats and two councilors.
