It was like a dream come true when Friends of Kabudula over the weekend traveled all the way from Lilongwe to hand over a mortuary which the group repaired after the mortuary had fallen into disrepair and stayed that way for years
Handing over the Mortuary, FOKABU Chairperson, Love More Kachikoti said the group decided to maintain the mortuary after learning that the area was travelling long distance to access mortuary services. Kachikoti said the group has spent almost K600,000 to undertake the whole exercise. “We are now planning to buy auto grave matching and build guardian shelter so that we can remain with a washing machine.” said Kachikoti.
Kachikoti said people in the area have a task to help than relying upon Government only. Kabudula Health Centre serves 320,000 and 400 patients as outpatients. Prior to the ceremony, FOKABU engaged chiefs where among other things discussed various ranges of development opportunities. The group involved members from various professional backgrounds.
