Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Constituency, David Bisnowaty, in partnership with Israeli Organization, Innovation Africa, on Tuesday launched a multi-million dollar solar and water project.
Bisnowaty, who is Israeli born, told reporters after the launch that the project aims at enabling students to improve their studies, “This will no longer be the case now because studying in the dark was so dangerous and not healthy, that is why I have partnered with this company to roll out this project.” said Bisnowaty.
Bisnowaty said he will be expecting that results for students in his constituency will no longer be the same. “There will be a great change now because in the past some students would say they don’t have money to buy candles, but now this electricity is totally free,” said a happy Bisnowaty.
Representing the beneficiaries, Group Village Headman, Dothi, commended the Parliamentarian for the project. GVH Dothi said project will help students in his area.
Bisnowaty commended Malawian President Peter Mutharika for the support. The Parliamentarian commended the signing of Lilongwe-Salima Water Project. Bisnowaty said the project will help Lilongwe residents to access water.
