The area 30 Cops continued their winning streak on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Epac FC at Nankhaka Stadium in the second week of TNM Super League.

First half strikes from Chisomo Chilasa and Osward Maonga were enough to hand Blue Eagles all the three points against Epac FC.
Coming straight from their 1-nil victory against Dwangwa United last week, Eagles made no mistake as they scored both goals in the first 45 minutes of the match.
Though Epac FC pulled one back, the hosts stood firm to collect another three important points that took them top of the standings.
The hosts enjoyed possession in the opening minutes of the match and it was not a surprise to see Chilasa finding the opener before the half-hour mark.
Moments later, it was 2-nil. A cross from Alupheous Nyoni caught the visitors’ defence napping, allowing Maonga to put the ball into the back of the net, 2-0.
The visitors pulled one back just minutes before the interval through Anthony Banda who scored from the spot to make it 2-1.
Come second half, it was the visitors who dominated the opening 15 minutes but lacked finishing composure in front of goals.
Epac almost pulled level but John Soko in goals for the hosts made a stunning save, leaving Epac’s bench in total disbelief.
At the other end, Junior Malidadi missed an opportunity to increase his side’s lead but his shot was deflected for a corner and after 90 minutes of play, it ended 2-1 in favor of Eagles.
And at Silver Stadium, Silver Strikers’ awful start to the season continued when they lost to Azam Tigers 1-nil courtesy of Bright Munthali’s first half strike to leave the Bankers bottom of the table
without a point from two games.
The Bankers were beaten 2-1 by Mighty Wanderers on Sunday last week in their first league game.
Tigers had to come from behind last week to survive Max Bullets’ scare. The game ended 2-2.
Super League games continue on Sunday in all the three regions of the country. At Balaka Stadium, Red Lions will play host to Big Bullets whilst Mzuni FC will play Kamuzu Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium.
At Civo Stadium, Civo Service United will host Mafco, with Max Bullets playing host to Dwangwa United at Kamuzu Stadium.
