Somber mood descended on Elamuleni area in Mzimba district where a car overturned and killed two people-other four were also severely wounded.
The car registration number BR 9785 was travelling from Mzimba to Mzuzu and had about eleven people on board.
It is believed that the driver lost control of the same after one of its left tires busted.
Northern region Police publicist, Maurice Chapola, who confirmed the tragedy said among the deceased is a driver who died on the spot.
“Another one is a woman we are yet to identify his particulars. Apart from that, four other passengers sustained serious injuries,” said Chapola.
The remaing victims are reported to have been treated as outpatients at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
Meanwhile, Malawians have been urged to go and identify bodies of the deceased who are currently at Mzuzu Central Hospital as well.
