Addressing the gathering on 12th March 2016 in Lilongwe, Mutharika claimed that TB Joshua made a prophecy that he would die before first of April alongside Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.

“They are saying that Person from Nigeria, Joshua, has said that Mugabe and Mutharika will die before First April,” Mutharika was quoted.

The Malawi Leader further challenged the Prophet that his prophecy would not be fulfilled as it was the case with his brother, Bingu Wa Mutharika in 2012.

“I want to tell you Joshua and your Sisters you are going to fail, what you did in 2012 won’t happen this year,” challenged Mutharika.

The Malawian President was referring to the death of former Malawi head of state, Late Bingu, which is said that Joshua prophesied.

He later died suddenly of cardiac arrest while in the Office at the State House in Lilongwe in April in 2012.

Apart from Challenging the Prophet, Mutharika labeled him as a fake prophet who targeted rich people to raise money.

He further trashed TB Joshua for failing to predict the collapsing his church building which collapsed and claimed over 50 lives of people.

On 3rd January 2016 during a church gathering at Synagogue for Church of All  Nation (SCOAN) which was beamed on the church’s television, Joshua was quoted as saying that, “I am very careful so that the press does not misquote me because the message is very sensitive,” Added Joshua.

“Ending of February to April is very peculiar months in the Southern Africa Sub Saharan region.

Let us observe Pray and end of the month for our leaders.”

Meanwhile, Mutharika will attend a night of prayers at the Kamuzu stadium tonight organized to pray for the countries social and economic woes.
