Super League of Malawi (Sulom) have shut down the hearsay about playoffs as they have released fixtures for Super League promotion playoffs scheduled for three days, starting from Friday.

According to Sulom’s statement that by the General Secretary, Williams Banda, the contest will run from tomorrow on Friday 11th March to Sunday 13th March, 2016 at Civo Stadium in Malawi’s Capital, Lilongwe.
The contest will involve three teams that were officially relegated in the elite league last season; the teams are Wizards FC, Airborne Rangers FC and Dedza Young Soccer FC.
On Friday, Malawi Defence Force sponsored side Airborne Rangers FC will take on Former Malawi national football team captain Peter Mponda’s team, Wizards FC. While on day two, Dedza Young Soccer football club will play against Airborne Rangers FC and on the last day, Wizards will battle it out with Dedza Young Soccer.
The full fixtures are as follows and all matches will start at 2:30pm unless stated;
Friday 11th March, 2016
Airborne Rangers VS Wizards FC
Saturday 12th March, 2016
-Dedza Young Soccer VS Airborne Rangers
Sunday 13th March, 2016
-Wizards FC VS Dedza Young Soccer
Meantime, Sulom have made it clear that all teams that were relegated are supposed to take part if they want to return into the top flight league. Sulom statement has come as Dedza Young Soccer petitioned the league’s mother body against the decision of having playoffs. Dedza claimed that Sulom should take them as the 16th team since they finished on 13th position better than the other two teams.
The playoffs have been put in place to add the 16th team in TNM Super League from to the existing 15 teams.
