Big Bullets attacking midfielder Jafali Chande has turned down a three year contract deal by demanding K3 million signing fee, The Malawi Star has established.

The former Epac FC Captain has been negotiating with Bullets’ Executive Committee for the past months in which he has been demanding the said amount as a condition for him to extend his stay at the club.

However, reports have emerged that Bullets are not willing to meet his demands saying the player is asking for more than they can offer.

Earlier this year, Chande was seen coming out of Mighty Wanderers Club House at Chichiri in Blantyre where he was offered a lucrative deal to join them.

But the player was undecided as he started the pre-season preparations with Bullets and was part of the team that played Dynamos FC of Zimbabwe over the weekend.

Despite playing on Saturday, Chande has turned down Bullets’ offer, with rumours circulating within Blantyre that Wanderers are ready to meet his demands.

The Malawi Star has been reliably informed that every Bullets player has signed long term contracts apart from Chande who has set his eyes elsewhere if K3 million is not given to him.

The player was influential for the people’s team during their back to back TNM Super League victories over the last two seasons as he scored vital goals for his side.

If he decides to leave, Bullets will not cash in on the player as he is a free agent.  Efforts to speak to Vice General Secretary for the club Kelvin Moyo proved futile as his cell phone lines went unanswered.
