The Central Bankers’ Board of Trustees has appointed Ralph Tseka as the new executive committee Chairman replacing Oscar Mabulekesi.

The later was fired alongside Treasurer Fred Kalonga and General Secretary Chimwemwe Mkhwimba over allegations that the trio misused the team’s financial allocation for the new season.
Mabulekesi and his committee squandered K54 million from their K70 million budget allocation by the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM), a development which did not go well with Governor Charles Tchuka who removed them from their respective positions.
Board of Trustees for the club Kelvin M’mangisa refused to comment on the matter but this publication got a tip from a reliable source who confirmed that Mabulekesi and his colleagues were fired by the club.
According to information at hand, Tseka will be deputised by Goodal Chinjoka whilst Thabo Nyirenda has been named as an interim General Secretary.
Patrick Mbiriyakula and Andrew Mpakule are the new treasurer and deputy treasurer respectively, with Assed Mgomba and Lawrence Yobe been appointed as executive committee members.
The board has appointed Innocent Kadammanja as the team’s Liaison Officer based in Blantyre.
It was reported that only 30 percent of the total allocation was used by the former committee, with 70 percent going into their pockets.
When summoned by Tchuka, the former committee lied to the Governor by showing him fake receipts and invoices showing that the team had some arrears.
The said amount was siphoned into their respective accounts in the just ended three months of the team’s fiscal period.
