Reports reaching The Malawi Star indicate that a certain man in Lilongwe has killed himself by taking poison after his girlfriend was not picking up phone calls.
According to information made available from a Neighbour of the deceased, the man took a juice drink in a fridge in which he put poison and drunk it.
It is said that before committing suicide, the deceased called his father letting him know what he was about to do. It is also reported that the mother of the deceased girlfriend was sick the thing that made her being busy to answer calls.
“He even called his father to have a farewell and it is not like his girlfriend was cheating him but she has had been busy caring for her sick Mother, so the guy thought that she was cheating him,” said the Source.
The Source identified the deceased as Thomas Banda who was staying in Area 47 in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
More details to follow as we are waiting for reports of the confirmation of the matter from Police.
