George Nyirenda pens a two year deal at Bullets

Big Bullets defender George Nyirenda has committed his future to the League Champions by signing a two year contract with the club on Wednesday afternoon.

Nyirenda was unwilling to sign a contract with the peoples team as his demands were not met by Bullets executive, raising speculations that he was on his way out to rivals Mighty Wanderers.

However, the former Caps United defender told this publication that he had no intentions of playing for a rival club as his blood was red. And on Wednesday, all the speculations regarding his future by putting pen to paper to a two year deal.

Nyirenda’s decision to sign a contract comes as a sigh of relief following Jafali Chande’s departure to Wanderers on Tuesday after refusing to extend his stay at the club.

On Tuesday, club Chairman Sam Chilunga told players who were yet to sign contracts to make a decision rather than wasting his time as the new season is around the corner.

Another player who has committed his future to Bullets is Owen Chaima who signed a three year deal with the club.
