Speaker of the National Assembly Richard Msowoya has suspended parliamentary deliberation for Wednesday to allow legislators pay their last respects to Billy Kanjira Banda.

Msowoya made the announcement in the August House on Monday. The business committee of parliament agreed to suspend today’s deliberation to allow members of parliament attend the burial service.
The death of Mchinji west MP caused a great stir in parliament on Monday as members of parliament were shocked with his sudden demise.
He was expected to present evidence to the National Assembly on how the government is siphoning billions of kwacha from The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC).
Before his death late Kanjira Banda confidently hinted that Leader of the House, Francis Kasaira is a benefactor of a Fifty Million Malawi Kwacha cash donation from the government.
The burial of Kanjira Banda is scheduled to take place today in Chalenga village in Traditional Authority Siphasi’s territory, Mchinji.
He was pronounced dead on Sunday at Deayang Hospital in Lilongwe after collapsing in church.
