Civo Break Silence on Lanjesi and Zoya Deal

Standard Bank Cup Champions, Civo United football club, have disclosed that their Players namely John Lanjesi and Emmanuel Zoya have long deals with the club.

Lanjesi and Zoya who have been linked with a move to Super League Champions, Nyasa Big Bullets football club with which they are said to have signed pre contracts.

But in an interview with The Malawi Star on Tuesday morning, Acting General Secretary for Civo, Charles Mwenda has said that these two players have contracts of more than six months with the club.

“I cannot say the actual contracts that they have with Civo, but what I know is that they have contracts of more than six months,” said Mwenda.

The General Secretary further refuted rumours that Lanjesi and Zoya will be training with Bullets this week in preparations for Nyasa Challenge Cup of which the peoples team will take on Dynamos football club of Zimbabwe.

On the issue of the trials that are reported that Lanjesi was supposed to undergo in Mozambique, Mwenda said that what the club knows is that he is in camp with Malawi national football team.

“What we know is that currently he is in camp. But we were also told by a Mozambican Club that it has an interest in the services of the defender, “added Mwenda.

Both Lanjesi and Zoya were unveiled together with Azam Tigers goal keeper Ernest Kakhobwe and newly signed Muhammad Sulumba during Big Bullets sponsorship launch with their sponsors, Nyasa Manufacturing Company.
