Malawian afro rap artist and singer Piksy says he is confident of winning the 2015 Kora Awards that is scheduled to take place in Windhoek, Namibia next month.

The Blantyre based musician told The Malawi Star in an interview on Sunday that he is confident that he will defeat all his competitors in “The Best Male- Southern Africa” category.
“I want to assure Malawians that I am very much confident that I will win this award and take Malawi music across the borders,” said the artist .
Asked why he has such confidence, the Tsoka Liyenda hit maker said it is the uniqueness of his music that has seen him being nominated for the award and believes that he will make it.
He further added that despite being put in the same group with other well known musicians in Africa, like South African AKA, Namibia’s Gazza and Zambian Petersen, the unsigned artist added that he is capable of making it because Malawian music has great potential.
He got nominated for his acoustic song Moto from his recent album Mthunzi which was released in June last year and he is among the 156 artists in 26 categories of the Pan African Music Award scheduled to take place on 20th March in Windhoek, Namibia next month.
If he wins the award, he will walk away with US$50,000 over K30, 000,000.
