Blue Eagles starts pre-season tours

Malawi Police sponsored side, Blue Eagles FC, has started pre-season tours with the aim to find new players and as part of preparations for 2016 soccer season.

The Club will today on valentine day eve be in Phalombe district and on Sunday will be in Mwanza district.

Blue Eagles Team Manager, Gilbert Chirwa, said the tours are aimed at find new boys that will play for the outfit.

“We will be going to Phalombe on Saturday and Sunday will be in Mwanza. These tours will help us to find new players,” said Chirwa.

In Phalombe, Lilongwe Area 30 boys will take on Phalombe Select FC the match that will be played at Phalombe Secondary School ground.

In an Interview with The Malawi Star, Phalombe Select Technical Director, Samson Luhanga, cited that his boys have promised fire against the law enforcers.

“We have prepared the game very well, our boys will not disappoint Phalombe people, besides that the morale is high,” explained Luhanga.

The law enforcers will not have Shumacker Kuwali and John CJ Banda during these tours as they are in Mozambique for trials.

Blue Eagles has embarked on the campaign of beefing up its squad as it is eyeing the Super League title in 2016 season.

It finished on third place last season.
