As Valentine’s Day is around the corner, one of the most celebrated theatre groups in Malawi, Solomonic Peacocks has announced its plans of bringing together lovers for entertainment on the day.
An event which has been branded “Mchezo Wa Chikondi” will take place at Blantyre Cultural Centre on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
In an interview with The Malawi Star, Director for Solomonic Peacocks, McArthur Matukuta explained that event will be of special value for lovers since they will celebrate their day in an artistic style

Matukuta further assured Malawians that all is set for the event.
“This is so special in the sense that people will have fun with love poems from popular poets and a love piece from peacocks alongside with traditional dances. Lovers will celebrate valentine in an artistic way and all the broken hearts shall be healed because of this show.
“Those who do not have they do not know what the Almighty God has prepared for them because he is love himself”, explained Mtukuta.
Among other activities during the event will be including poetry, stand-up comedy and traditional dances and Solomonic Peacocks will stage its “The Four Lettered Word” theatre production.
According to Matukuta, Mchezo Wa Chikondi will spiced up by artists like Madalitso Nyambo, Pastor Junior, Sylvester Kalizang’oma, Hudson Chamasowa, Joseph Madzedze, and presidential mimickers Aunt Geti, Mr Malawi and Atcheya and many others.
