Asian Arrested for Injuring Employee

ASIAN ARRESTED FOR INJURING EMPLOYEE

Malawi Police in Lilongwe are keeping in custody a Malawian of Asian origin, Salim Ahammed, for breaking his employee’s arm.

The Police have identified the victim as Charlse Pukuta, 28, from Chakhoma Village in area of Traditional Authority Chiwalo in Phalombe district.

According to Lilongwe Police Station spokesperson, Kingsley Dandaula, the accused has a Shop that sells second hand clothes and hardware materials in Biwi Lilongwe.

It is said that on Tuesday monring, the victim who is salesman at Ahammed Shop as usual went to do duties and later in the afternoon the owner of the shop started accussing him of stealing some of the clothes.

Upon asked by his employee, Pakuta denied the accussations but his facts did not convince the Shop Owner who later picked wooden rod and hit him hard until he broke his right arm.

According to Dandaula, the accussed has been charged with causing grievous harm contrary to section 238 of the penal code.

He further said that the Suspect will appear before the court very soon.
